As an international student you will be holding a non-immigrant F1 visa. It enables you to work in USA under certain terms and conditions issued by USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Service). You will be permitted to work either On-campus job, which can be easily obtained or by four categories of off-campus job – “OPT” (Optional Practical Training), “CPT” (Curricular Practical Training), “Severe economic hardship”, and “Approved international organizations”.

You will be permitted to work for on-campus part-time job, which is limited up to 20 hours per week. This will support you in meeting your basic needs. During the vacations, you’ll be allowed to work for 40 hours per week.
